Matses Tribe -Amazon forest research

Matses Tribe are also known as the jaguar people, they are also indigenous people, that use the traditional small scale slash and burn. This tribe is located in the remote area of Amazon Forest. They settled down and has a traditional subsistence lifestyle. Their lives at in the Amazon Forest were great they built their own houses and they would hunt their food which gave them jobs to do in the forest. Time at the Amazon forest was fantastic outsiders would come join their tribe and made the tribe bigger and but then after a burn they would have to cut trees down and turn it into a farm because ground was infertile. As with many indigenous peoples,Matses struggled against resources and land grabs by petroleum, logging and mining interests ( e.g. the Canadian  Petroleum Company).

Link to Matses Tribe living

This tribe went through a lot but they all took care after each other.
I did some more researching and here is a website about lots of information about matses tribe.
https://www.survivalinternational.org/tribes/matses
this Link is very helpful if you wanna learn more about this tribe.

Has the change of the Matses lifestyle been a positive or negative change?
I think it's been a positive and a negative.
Gives the people more jobs to do and to keep them busy with whats happened but also dangerous for there homes and the area they are living as other companies and businesses are trying to destroy there home basically.

Global warming-science

Possible effects of Global warming on New Zealand.

In Christchurch it's very dry compared to other parts of New Zealand.
It barely rains here in chch which means the grass doesn't grow and cows have nothing to eat so cows can't grow which milk isn't produced and calfs can't crow to adult cows so we don't have meat to eat.
Which also means we don't have milk and meat. So milk isn't produce which means,Cheese margarine, butter cream etc. Isn't made so we loose all our diary products we loose all our meats and then Us humans start to starve and loose protein and carbs and we don't grow and then we dye and everyone becomes lifeless, weak and then there will be no food left for us to eat.

Hurricanes-Social studies

This guy called Philip Came and taught us about sentence structures and today we did it about Hurricane Katrina.

Extreme storms sometimes are called, Hurricanes, Tropical cyclones and Typhoons. Strong winds up to 270 km/hr are what causes a hurricane. This hazard is caused by the heat of the ocean over 26.5 degrees Celsius plus. Storm surges, heavy rainfalls, an inland flooding is what makes hurricanes very dangerous. Hurricanes have a negative effect on humans. The Dangerous hazard causes damage to houses and local businesses or more so kill people. Which means people don’t have jobs, homeless becomes serious which also means there will be  no money for them to live causing another reason of death.

Matariki Progress Social Studies Writing

Mr Langley came into social studies and taught about sentence structures he helped our class right creative sentences and starting each sentence with different words for each sentence starter.
Here is the piece I wrote below

Maori name for the seven sisters is Matariki, which is also apart of Maori new year. Matariki start in the last few days of may and this celebration can last up to  3 days. The disappearance of Matariki is in Autumn and Matariki signals the time of crop planting. Nowadays,we celebrate the importance of our earth and the land we live on.
