Matses Tribe are also known as the jaguar people, they are also indigenous people, that use the traditional small scale slash and burn. This tribe is located in the remote area of Amazon Forest. They settled down and has a traditional subsistence lifestyle. Their lives at in the Amazon Forest were great they built their own houses and they would hunt their food which gave them jobs to do in the forest. Time at the Amazon forest was fantastic outsiders would come join their tribe and made the tribe bigger and but then after a burn they would have to cut trees down and turn it into a farm because ground was infertile. As with many indigenous peoples,Matses struggled against resources and land grabs by petroleum, logging and mining interests ( e.g. the Canadian Petroleum Company).

Has the change of the Matses lifestyle been a positive or negative change?
I think it's been a positive and a negative.
Gives the people more jobs to do and to keep them busy with whats happened but also dangerous for there homes and the area they are living as other companies and businesses are trying to destroy there home basically.
